Volunteering

Are you interested in volunteering but don’t know where to start?

Look no further! We are glad to welcome you to work with us in the capacity that fits your skills, availability, and experience. Some things to note as we move forward:

  • Volunteer positions will not necessarily be working directly with families and asylum seekers, since much of what we will need will likely be logistical in nature. If you are in a position where you are interacting with the people we are hosting, we will ask you to take part in a brief training.

  • If you have any of the following, we highly encourage you to sign up to volunteer: multilingual proficiency (especially in Spanish), experience with social work, teaching, or case management, a valid driver’s license and car, or any other special skill you think will be of service!

  • We are especially looking for anyone who can help us move our families into apartments at this time! Do you have a valid driver’s license and can drive a UHaul Truck? Do you have a truck already? Can you lift boxes and go up/down stairs? Please let us know!

  • We understand that schedules change and things come up — don’t worry. This process is full of many moving parts and as such we know flexibility will be needed on everybody’s part.

We are very much looking forward to working with you and can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the table.

Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form below and we will be in contact with you soon!
